New "Due Date" Spreadsheet

I have changed the format of my weekly assignment sheet to better reflect what lessons and Required Practice Problems are due on which days.

My old format made things more confusing to find what things were due on each day.  I hope that the new format can get rid of that confusion.  If you want to see what a student should be working on in my class for Tuesday, just look at what is due on Tuesday:

  1. Hello Bjorn,

Your revised due date spreadsheet is a great idea, and I'd like to create one for my own class.

How did you add the links or (what appear to be) tabs to the top of your spreadsheet? Are the links some sort of Google gadget?

Please let me know how you worked your magic.

    Thank you.

  2. bkp,

The links are added with the formula:
    =hyperlink("url";"text you want displayed")

so put what you want inside the quotes
    =hyperlink("";"")

The 'tabs' on the top of the spreadsheet are actually the 'sheets'. They are displayed this way when you publish your spreadsheet as a website (under File/publish to the web).

With the spreadsheet published, I just update the site in google docs and everywhere I have the spreadsheet (blogs, wikis, websites, etc) will be updated within 5 minutes or less.

If you have more questions, let me know,

    Bjorn
